New Delhi:

The CBI raided the premises of a private company based in the Paschim Vihar district of west Delhi for allegedly hosting child pornography on websites on servers based in Russia, the Netherlands and in India, officials said on Tuesday.

The agency has reserved the company, its directors and other unidentified people for alleged violations of the Information Technology Law and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Law, they said.

“It has been alleged that the said company hosted Russian domain websites containing objectionable material relating to the sexual abuse of children. The case concerns the alleged jurisdiction of India, the Netherlands and the Russian Federation from now on regarding the location of servers, the facilitation of hosting objectionable material and owner of objectionable content, “said CBI spokesperson RK Gaur.

He said that searches were carried out on the premises of the accused’s residence and offices, including a private company and its directors in Delhi, which resulted in the recovery of electronic devices and the incrimination of documents and materials.
