In a similar case for petitioner Veena Rani, the court ordered the police to provide security for the couple, but fined them 5,000 rupees for not wearing a mask at the ceremony. wedding.

The court asked the couple to deposit money with the Fazilika administration and ordered that the money be used to organize masks for the general public.

On April 9, the Punjab government made it mandatory for people to wear a face mask because of the COVID-19 epidemic.
