Congress hopes Balendu Shukla’s entry will help party in upcoming by-elections

Bhopal:

Former Minister of State and BJP leader Balendu Shukla joined Congress on Friday in the presence of former chief minister Kamal Nath.

“Balendu Shukla joined Congress. The reason he left Congress earlier is no longer in the party. It is his return. We welcome them all. There are many people who want to join the gone, “said Kamal Nath.

Mr. Shukla was in Congress but left the party in 2009, apparently due to differences with Jyotiraditya Scindia, who recently joined the BJP.

Mr. Shukla was allegedly angry at Mr. Scindia’s entry into the BJP.

Congress hopes that Mr. Shukla’s entry will help the party in the next by-elections.

After Mr. Scindia left Congress, 22 party deputies resigned from the assembly, leading to the downfall of the government led by Kamal Nath in the state.
