A brand new song from Akshay Kumar’s upcoming filmLaxmii, released on Friday and it started to follow instantly. The song titled Ab Hamari Baari Hai is in the form of poetry. Shot in grayscale mode, the video features the film’s lead actors, Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani, as well as Laxmi Narayan Tripath, a transgender rights activist and veteran Bharatanatyam dancer. The song aims to shatter gender stereotypes and extend support in the form of love and respect to the transgender community. The brands described the song in these terms on YouTube: “Pyaar pe sabka haq hai, ye dikhane ki Ab Hamari Baari Hai. The horror comedy is a remake of the 2011 Tamil movie Kanchana and it was directed by Raghava Lawrence, who also directed the original. Laxmii is slated for release November 9 on Disney + Hotstar. The film will also be released in Australia, New Zealand and the United Arab Emirates in theaters, while it premieres on Hotstar in the US, UK, and Canada.
Akshay Kumar, said earlier that her role as a transgender was the most “mentally intense” of her three-decade career. “He is unlike any character I have ever played. I had to be careful to portray him with the utmost honesty, without offending any community,” Akshay Kumar said in a statement earlier this year.
