Not a salad of words! I usually eat hot foods that nourish the stomach, spleen, and intestines and keep all Doshas balanced. Much Indian home cooked meals which are by nature a balanced plate. But every now and then I dig into a bowl full of salad and savor like a child in a pizzeria. The first is a sort of “fridge-cleaned” rainbow salad, with fresh salad leaves, grated carrots, peppers, cucumber, plums, kiwi, nuts and seeds, a dressing of base garnished with Aamras. (Kids loved it) Sure you can add a grain to mold the salad but I like it crisp and fresh. The second is a take on the classic caprese salad, with mozzarella, cherry tomatoes, sundried tomatoes, olives, my favorite greens – baby spinach, freshly picked basil, local red micro amaranth, salt, pepper and tomato and cranberry relish from @thegourmetjar.
