A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck 332 km northeast of Hanle in Jammu and Kashmir. (Representative)

Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir):

An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale struck 332 km northeast of Jammu and Kashmir Hanle on Saturday.

According to the National Center for Seismology, the tremors were felt in the region at 12:32 p.m. (IST) today.

Earlier on Friday, a magnitude 3.3 earthquake on the Richter scale struck 79 km west of Tura in Meghalaya, according to the National Seismology Center.
