New Delhi:

On Saturday, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh questioned the delay in the CBI investigation into the alleged gang rape and death of a young woman in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh and asked why there was evidence evidence was ignored.

“The Yogi government is trying to save the culprits in the Hathras gang rape case and weaken it. The pre-death statement is considered strong and the victim took the names of the culprits,” Singh told the media staff here. .

Accusing the government of destroying evidence, he said “along with the body, the necessary evidence was also set on fire.”

The woman’s funeral was not celebrated and the body was hastily set on fire with gasoline, he said.

He also questioned the alleged delay of the CBI investigation into the case, saying it had been seven days but the notification to that end had not been issued so far.

“The Yogi government is trying to save the culprits in the name of the SIT investigation. This government has nothing to do with the grief of the poor family. The mentality of the BJP and the Yogi government is anti-Dalit,” he said. said.

Mr. Singh alleged that instead of carrying out a proper investigation, the Yogi government “wants to tarnish the image and character of the bereaved family.”

“Now the Yogi government wants to label this crime as an international conspiracy to provoke riots, which is most ridiculous,” said the head of the AAP.
