The gangster Vikas Dubey, who was taken to Uttar Pradesh from Madhya Pradesh, was killed after a road accident near Kanpur. One of the cars taking the criminal had overturned this mourning on the road to Kanpur. The car that had overturned Vikas Dubey on the highway was slippery with rain.
PTI news agency, citing Inspector General of Police (Kanpur) Mohit Agarwal, reported that Dubey was killed during the encounter after he tried to flee following a road accident in the region from Barra to Kanpur.
“Dubey was injured in the meeting and was pronounced dead in the hospital,” ADG Kanpur, J N Singh rank told PTI.
After the accident, Dubey pulled out the pistol of an STF staff member and attempted to escape, but was surrounded by the police team and he was injured in an exchange of gunfire. He was rushed to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Vikas Dubey, who has been on the run since organizing the massacre of eight police officers in Kanpur last Friday, was arrested yesterday at a temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh.

Vikas Dubey was arrested yesterday at the famous Mahakal temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. He was spotted by temple security guards when he bought prayer offerings and entered the temple. When he got out, he was confronted by the guards, and after going wild, he was taken to the police.
The car that overturned Vikas Dubey on the highway was slippery with rain and he tried to escape. He would have been shot.
Post-incident footage showed that Vikas Dubey was taken on a stretcher.
