The White House expects President Donald Trump to serve a second term, an official said.

Washington, United States:

The White House expects President Donald Trump to serve a second term despite being reelected, a senior official said on Friday.

“We are moving here in the White House assuming there will be a second Trump term,” outgoing President’s business adviser Peter Navarro told Fox Business Network.

Trump has yet to concede nearly a week after U.S. media reported that his Democratic challenger Joe Biden had defeated him in the November 3 presidential election.

The president has made few public appearances since then and has launched lawsuits in several states, alleging electoral fraud, but without providing any evidence.

“What we are looking for here are verifiable ballots, certifiable ballots and an investigation of a growing number of allegations of fraud under affidavits signed by witnesses,” Navarro said, repeating the unsubstantiated allegations of the Trump supporters.

Lamenting what he called “an immaculate deception,” Navarro said that any speculation about what Biden might do in trade policy or with regard to China “I think is moot at this point. . “

Senior US federal and state election officials said Thursday there was “no evidence” the hackers could have tampered with the vote, and most world leaders congratulated Biden on his victory.
