Two Czech nationals caught at London’s Heathrow Airport bound for Dubai with £ 1.2 million.

London:

Two Czech nationals captured at London Heathrow airport bound for Dubai with 1.2 million pounds ($ 1.58 million) in their suitcases have been charged with money laundering, the UK government said on Friday.

The couple, a 37-year-old man and a 26-year-old woman, were arrested by border officials at 9:00 GMT on November 8. The tickets were found in three suitcases and two handbags.

“Curbing the export of undeclared money from the UK is essential in our fight against organized criminal gangs,” Minister Chris Philp said in a statement.
