New Delhi:
The border between Delhi and Noida will not be opened to the public due to the increasing number of coronavirus cases linked to the national capital, the administration of the city of Uttar Pradesh said in a press release, one day after the center has authorized intra and interstate movements of goods and people in its locking directives5.
“The health department said that of the total number of coronavirus cases detected in Noida in the past 20 days, 42% are related to Delhi. After discussion with the health and police services, it was decided that the status quo was to be maintained on the border between Delhi and Noida, “the statement said.
The Noida administration, in its foreclosure guidelines5, also published new containment rules for housing companies. Unlike before, if an individual tower reports cases of coronavirus, the whole company will not be sealed.
“In multi-storey residential buildings, only towers that report cases of coronavirus will be declared containment zones. If several towers report cases of coronavirus, all of them will be considered as containment zones; all services such as the park, the gymnasium, swimming pool, banquet halls, etc. will also be considered to be under containment zones, “he said.
No separate authorization, approval or electronic authorization will be required for interstate or intra-state movements of people and goods, the center said on Saturday. If a state or territory of the Union decides to regulate movements, it will have to publish its decision in advance, he said.
The government of Uttar Pradesh had left the decision to open the borders with Delhi to the administrations of Ghaziabad and Noida.
In office buildings, according to Noida guidelines, the floor where coronavirus cases are kept will be sealed for 24 hours. The sanitation costs will be borne by the company. Stores will be authorized on an alternative basis.
All other interior ministry guidelines will be implemented in Noida.
On Saturday, the center extended the closure of the coronavirus until June 30, but said that shopping malls, restaurants and religious places may reopen from June 8, except in containment or sealed areas due of a large number of virus cases.
