Bihar 2020 election: Tejashwi Yadav organized more than two dozen rallies for the Rashtriya Janata Dal

Patna:

Rashtriya Janata Dal – who according to most polls coming out of the polls will win a majority in the recently concluded assembly elections in Bihar – warned her workers and supporters to maintain discipline on counting, regardless of the outcome of the election. In a tweet today, the party said there should be no use of firecrackers or rowdy behavior and that civility should be maintained towards rival parties.

“On November 10, the counting of the votes will take place. Whatever the result, we must behave well, keep the peace. No worker should use colors, firecrackers, etc. There should be no indiscipline in the process. ‘excitement of a win,’ she read. a rough translation of the party tweet in Hindi.

In a second tweet, the RJD asked its workers to keep in mind that regardless of the results “at the center of your policy is the uplifting of the public and the convenience of the people.”

The party’s warning comes following the campaign by Nitish Kumar’s ruling alliance and the BJP, which kept the spotlight on public order issues during the 15-year tenure of Tejashwi Yadav’s parents – Lalu Yadav and Rabri Devi.

Lalu Yadav is in prison after being convicted of a massive corruption case involving irregularities in the purchase of animal fodder.

Thanks to the NDA campaign, multiple references were made to the “Jungle Raj” – people were warned about this and said to expect it if the RJD comes to power.

Even Prime Minister Narendra Modi had nicknamed Tejashwi Yadav – the 31-year-old chief ministerial candidate of the RJD, Congress and Left alliance – as “Jungle Raj ka Yuvraj”.

Yesterday, most polls predicted the alliance would secure a majority in the state, falling far ahead of the NDA.

A set of opinion polls have indicated that the opposition coalition will win 128 of Bihar’s 243 seats and the NDA 99. The Lok Janshakti party of Chirag Paswan or LJP is likely to win six seats, according to calculations.

The majority rating in the state is 122.

Exit polls, however, are often wrong.

RJD spokesman Mrityunjay Tiwari said the party’s own assessment based on field-level information is that it will win more seats than expected in the exit polls. “There is a wave of support for Mahagathbandhan and Tejashwi Yadav. We will win with a two-thirds majority,” he told the Press Trust of India news agency.
