BJP chief Anil Sisodia hands over a certificate to Shikhar Agarwal, accused of the murder of a police officer.

Bulandshahr:

Following outrage over his congratulations by a BJP leader, violence by UP Bulandshahr accused Shikhar Agrawal of being removed from office as district general secretary of Pradhan Mantri Jankalyankari Yojana Jagrukta Abhiyan promoting central government schemes.

Shikhar Agarwal, former head of the local youth wing unit of the BJP, is accused of having been involved in the murder of Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh in the 2018 Bulandshahr violence caused by an alleged slaughter incident of cows. A Bulandshahr resident, Sumit, was also killed in the violence after a crowd burned down police vehicles.

Shikhar Agarwal is on bail and was seen with BJP Bulandshahr president Anil Sisodia at an event on July 14. A certificate was given to him by the district president at the event organized by the organization, which publicizes government plans across the country and is said to have the best BJP leaders as mentors.

Anil Sisodia, however, said that the organization had no connection with the BJP and was only there as a chief guest.
