The Shiv Sena today welcomed the verdict in the Babri Masjid demolition case where all the defendants were acquitted. The list of defendants included the best leaders of the BJP carpet – LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Uma Bharti and Kalyan Singh.
“Me and my Shiv Sena party welcome the judgment and congratulate Advani-ji, Murli Manohar ji, Uma Bharti-ji and those who have been acquitted in the case,” Sena leader Sanjay Raut said. ANI news agency.
“The verdict that the demolition was not a conspiracy and the result of circumstances was the expected judgment. We have to forget this episode. If the Babri Masjid had not been demolished, we would not have seen Bhumi Pujan for Ram Mandir, “said Raut, whose party has traditionally supported the movement for a Ram temple.
In today’s verdict, Special Judge SK Yadav said the demolition of the temple was not planned in advance and there was “not enough evidence against the accused”.
The authenticity of the video of the event submitted by the Central Bureau of Investigation cannot be proven and the audio of the speech is unclear, the court said.
In the judgment, the court also said that “anti-social elements had tried to demolish the structure and the accused leaders had tried to arrest them /;.
