Paris, France:

Thieves took some 600,000 euros of high-end products from the Parisian home of a Saudi princess, a source familiar with the matter said on Friday.

The 47-year-old princess, who had not set foot in the apartment since August, discovered on her return that she was missing bags, watches, jewelry and furs worth around $ 720,000 .

The princess, whose name has not been released, has been hospitalized in shock and has yet to speak to police.

The thieves appear to have entered the apartment, located near the chic Avenue George V in the heart of the French capital, without resorting to force, the source familiar with the matter said.

The bonus included around thirty Hermès bags worth between 10,000 and 30,000 euros each, a Cartier watch, jewelry and fur articles.

Prosecutors have opened an official investigation which will be handled by the Paris police special anti-gang unit.
