Donald Trump and Joe Biden await final count of electoral college vote count

New Delhi:

US President Donald Trump tweeted furiously as his rival Joe Biden raced in key states including Pennsylvania. The majority of the remaining votes are found in Democratic-leaning areas like greater Philadelphia, a city in Pennsylvania.

To this, President Trump tweeted, “Philadelpiha has a rotten history when it comes to electoral integrity.”

But President Trump misspelled the city’s name, also known as “Philly” to its residents.

The outgoing US president is not new to making spelling mistakes in his tweets.

Just before the last U.S. presidential election in 2016 as well, Donald Trump was embarrassed after making three spelling mistakes in a 21-word tweet attacking Hillary Clinton.

In a tweet criticizing Hillary Clinton, Donald Trump wrote: “Hillary Clinton should not be briefed on national security as she is a losing cannon with extremely bad judgment and instits.”

However, Twitter users were quick to point out the three misspellings in his short tweet: “lose” instead of “cowardly”, “instinct” instead of “instinct” and “judgment” instead of. the correct American spelling of the word, “judgment”.

The result of the US presidential election is balanced today as a handful of battlefield states finish their vote count, but Joe Biden was heading for victory – barring any surprises.

Mr Biden got 253 of the 270 electoral votes he needs, according to US media projections, and took the lead in Pennsylvania, which would put him at the top.

President Trump has won 214 electoral votes to date, and while the incumbent Republican president was still vying in several states that could allow him to be re-elected, that path was narrowing.
