Ram Vilas Paswan, he is the Minister of the Union of Consumption, Food and Public Distribution.

New Delhi, Patna:

Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan “underwent heart surgery” last night at a Delhi hospital, his son Chirag Paswan said in a tweet this morning.

Thanking those who stood by the family’s side at this “difficult hour,” party leader Lok Janshakti (LJP), 37, wrote in a tweet in Hindi: “In recent days my father has been treated in a hospital. Last night, due to the situation suddenly arose, he had to undergo heart surgery. If necessary, another operation may be necessary. If necessary, I thank you all for being by our side. “

A key meeting of the LJP, a BJP ally, on the elections in the state of Bihar was postponed yesterday due to the health of Ram Vilas Paswan; he is the Union Minister for Consumption, Food and Public Distribution.

Last month, the ruling BJP, mired in allied trouble after Akali Dal’s exit over controversial farm laws, received an ultimatum from key Bihar ally Chirag Paswan just weeks before the election of October-November.

Sources claim that Chirag Paswan has also made it clear that he will not hesitate to field candidates against Janata Dal United (JDU) under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He reportedly reminded the BJP leader that recently the JDU said it had no alliance with the LJP. “So the LJP can field candidates against JDU candidates,” he said, according to sources.

Bihar will vote on October 28, November 3 and 7 for a new government and the results will be announced on November 10.

BJP’s relationship status with the Paswans has been complicated in recent months due to a feud between Nitish Kumar and Chirag Paswan.

Yesterday, however, Chirag Paswan solicited the “blessings” of the people for his party’s “Bihar First Bihari First” vision document. In a statement, he praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and said all candidates in his party would strengthen the hand of the BJP leader.
