Delhi has recorded a record 6,725 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours – the highest daily tally since the outbreak reached the nation’s capital. The second highest increase was recorded on October 30, with 5,891 cases.
Today’s high comes after a weekend low of 4001. In recent months, Sundays have been marked by a decrease in the number of tests performed, which is why Monday’s numbers reflect a drop.
Delhi had reported more than 5,000 cases for most of the past week.
