New Delhi:

In a standoff with China on the border with Ladakh, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said Sunday that India would never compromise on “national pride”, saying it was no longer a “weak country” “and that its security capacity had increased.

Speaking at a virtual rally for Jammu and Kashmir, Singh also assured the opposition that the central government would not keep parliament or anyone in the dark about border developments and would share the details in right time.

“I want to assure you that under no circumstances will we compromise with national pride. India is no longer a weak India. Our national security strength has increased. But this force is not intended to scare whom whatever but to secure our country, “said Dit Singh.

The BJP senior official said that China had expressed its desire to resolve the dispute with India through talks, and that the Indian government also had a similar opinion.

“It is also our effort to defuse the conflict between India and China through talks at the military and diplomatic level,” he said, noting that the two countries are engaged in dialogue at the military level .

In his speech, he also said that the cancellation of Article 370, which had given the former state of Jammu and Kashmir a special status, had led to overall development in the territory of the Union.

The government will carry out so much development in the region in the coming years that the people of Pakistan-occupied Kashmir will demand to be part of India. This will lead to our Parliament’s resolution that PoK is an integral part of India, said Singh.
