A police operation is underway at Part-Dieu station in Lyon, France, local police said on Thursday, adding that one person had been arrested and the station had been evacuated.
Police said a demining team was present at the scene, with checks carried out and a security cordon in place.
Local Lyon newspaper Le Progres reported on its website that a woman carrying several bags threatened to blow herself up and screamed “God is big“.
The SNCF railway company said on Twitter that traffic around Lyon had been severely disrupted.
The Rhône prefecture was not immediately available for comment.
