Chirag Paswan hopes his solo bet pays off.

Khagaria, Bihar:

Chirag Paswan, after voting today in the second round of elections in Bihar, said he “could give in writing” that Nitish Kumar will never be chief minister again.

Party leader Lok Janshakti (LJP), which is running separately from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in the election but insists its alliance with the BJP is intact, also said the people of the state had gave his blessing for a “Free Nitish – Bihar”.

“You can get me to tell you in writing that Nitish Kumar will never be the chief minister again after November 10. I won’t have any role to play, I want ‘Bihar first, Bihari first’. I want the work to be done according to the vision document prepared by the suggestions of four lakh Biharis, ”Chirag Paswan told ANI news agency.

He also defended his party in a series of tweets in which he said for years the people of Bihar had been reluctant to call themselves Bihari due to the decline of the state.

“After the first phase of the ballot, the fear of defeat in Nitish Kumar ji is not hidden from anyone. People rejected it. I call on everyone not to let the vote wasted. People gave blessings for a change in Bihar. Nitish -free Bihar … Bihar first Bihari first, “Mr. Paswan tweeted.

“Over the past 15 years, Bihar has gone from notorious to pathetic. There is no improvement in the situation of migration, unemployment and flooding. Teachers and children live in gloom. Migrants from Bihar hesitate to call themselves Bihari. Democracy has given the opportunity to change its lot, “wrote the LJP deputy in Hindi.

In its vision document “Bihar first Bihari first” for the Bihar polls, the LJP made several promises, including the construction of a Sita temple in Sitamarhi “bigger than the Ram temple” in Ayodhya of Uttar Pradesh.

Chirag Paswan is hoping his solo bet pays off and his party wins enough seats to become an alternative for the BJP to Nitish Kumar, the five-time chief minister facing the anti-incumbent after 15 years in power. The LJP mainly presented candidates against Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United.

Bihar began voting on October 28 for a new government. After today, the last ballot will take place on Saturday. Results will be announced on November 10.
