Nitish Kumar will be sworn in as Chief Minister for a fourth consecutive term today.

As Nitish Kumar is sworn in for a fourth consecutive term as Chief Minister of Bihar, 14 other ministers will be sworn in with him this afternoon. His new MPs – Tarkishore Prasad and Renu Devi of the BJP – will be among those taking the oath today at the event attended by Home Secretary Amit Shah. The NDA won the state election last week with a very slim majority and secured 125 of Bihar’s 243 assembly seats, three above the halfway mark.

Vijendra Yadav, Vijay Choudhary, Ashok Choudhary, Mewalal Choudhary and Sheela Mandal of Janata Dal United of Nitish Kumar and BJP leaders Mangal Pandey and Rampreet Paswan are among the 14 ministers who will be inducted into Nitish Kumar’s new cabinet today. Santosh Manjhi from Hindustani Awam Morcha or HAM, and Mukesh Mallah from Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) will also be sworn in.
