New Delhi:

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said on Saturday that India’s internal and external security was a priority for the central government led by the BJP, saying that the government had done in six years what Congress could not not do in 55 years of his reign.

He said that there has been a rapid change in the country’s infrastructure and that the borders are secure with advanced technology. He said the road construction projects have started at full speed near the borders of Nepal and China from Pithoragarh in Uttarakhand to reach Mansarovar and that the projects will be completed in the next six months.

“We do not want to occupy any country or any land. We do not want to enter any country. We have brotherly relations with Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh and in all situations we support them,” he said. .

“We don’t want to attack anyone, but if someone throws a bad eye at us (tirchi nazar), that eye will be ripped out,” Gadkari told BJP workers in Rajasthan in an online speech in Hindi.

The Union’s Minister of Roads, Transport and Highways has declared Article 370 of the Constitution, which granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir, to be a temporary provision and those who formulated it expected that it would soon be deleted.

“But that was not possible during the reign of Congress,” he said, adding that it was Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Interior Minister Amit Shah who removed section 370.

He said the country’s internal and external security is “our priority”, stressing that incidents of terrorism are almost nil and that Maoism is on the verge of being eliminated. “We have been saying from day one that nationalism is our goal,” he said.

“We want this nation to become happy, prosperous and powerful. We have worked with this idea to free India from fear, hunger, terror and corruption. So today all of our borders are safe, “said Gadkari.
