New Delhi:
Actress Maanvi Gagroo, best known for playing in Amazon Prime’s Four more photos please!, called a fashion brand for sharing a promotional item, featuring their photo, without their permission, and also for using a description that stank of shame. Thursday afternoon Maanvi tweeted a screenshot of what appears to be a Facebook message from House Of Fett, in which the words “Styles to hide your curves” can be seen written beneath a photo of Maanvi, dressed in a dress. Maanvi made a strong statement in her tweet, writing: “I didn’t wear this dress to ‘hide my curves’. Not only did the brand NOT have my permission to use my photo as a sponsored post, but it certainly doesn’t have my permission to put everyone to shame!
Here’s what she posted:
I did not wear this dress to “hide my curves”. Not only does the brand DO NOT have my permission to use my photo as a sponsored publication, but it certainly does not have my permission to shame ANYONE! I am against everything that this nasty slogan says. pic.twitter.com/GwY1TkOjCQ

In Four more photos please!, Maanvi Gagroo plays the role of Siddhi Patel, the unmarried child of a wealthy Gujarati family, who grew up ashamed of his mother’s body and fat. At the end of the first season, Siddhi, who has always been unsure of her body, learns to embrace her curves and has a personality change as she emerges as a super confident and carefree woman in her twenties.
Maanvi Gagroo once told the IANS news agency in an interview: “Our conversations in the living room change. Families change. We are now talking about things that were, until a decade ago, quite rare, let alone scandalous. The smart thing to do as creators is to represent this change. Why don’t we show stories that are relatable and depict characters that exist? The stories must also change with each story, perspective. “
Maanvi Gagroo has also appeared in films such as Ujda Shaman, no one killed Jessica and Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan. She is also known for her performance in an episode of Amazon Prime Made in heaven and for the headliner of the web-series TVF tripling.
