Guess who will play alongside Baahubali actor Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in Nag Ashwin’s next film? None other than superstar Amitabh Bachchan. Exciting, isn’t it? Big B is also excited to be a part of the project. After Prabhas made the big social media announcement on Friday, Amitabh Bachchan tweeted: “An honor and privilege to be a part of this momentous and most ambitious endeavor.” Welcoming the senior actor on board, Prabhas wrote on Instagram: “Finally, a dream come true … Sharing screen space with the legendary Amitabh Bachchan sir.” Big B is expected to play a central role in the film, which will be produced by Vyjayanthi Movies. In his tweet, Big B also praised Vyjayanthi Movies for turning 50 years in the entertainment industry.
For the reverse, Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika padukone starred in Shoojit Sircar’s 2015 film Piku.

In their announcement video, Vyjayanthi Films said that to mark their 50th anniversary, they want to make a legendary film that will be incomplete without “legend” Amitabh Bachchan. In their Instagram post, they wrote: “Amitabh Bachchan sir, it is our honor to welcome you. Your birthday celebrations have begun!” Big B turns 78 on Sunday.
Speaking of Amitabh Bachchan joining the cast of the untitled film, Ashwini Dutt, producer and founder of Vyjayanthi Movies, said in a statement: “The late legendary Shri NTR was an admirer of Shri Amitabh Bachchan and had even starred in the Telugu remakes. from a few of his superhit Bollywood movies. Shri NTR and I had watched the flagship movie Sholay several times when it worked for over a year at NTR’s Ramakrishna Theater. After all these years, it is truly a glorious and extremely satisfying time for me to welcome the greatest icon of Indian cinema, Shri Bachchan, to be a part of this prestigious film under our banner, Vyjayanthi Movies. It is a production house that began its cinematic journey with Shri NTR and was also named by him. “
Directed Nag Ashwin, known for directing films like Mahanati and Yevade Subramanyam, said in a statement: “I feel lucky and blessed that Mr. Amitabh Bachchan has selected our film from among the many choices he has … It is a complete role, which we believe will do justice to the legend that he is. “
Deepika Padukone joined the film’s cast in July this year. Expressing her joy and enthusiasm on Instagram, she wrote: “Beyond the joy! I can’t wait for what we think is an amazing trip to come …”
The film, which will be released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, is expected to be released worldwide in 2022.
