Chief Minister Biplab Deb said if people hang Vivekananda’s picture in their homes, BJP will rule for 30 years

Agartala:

Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb said the BJP government in the northeastern state would remain in power for the next three decades if 80% of the houses hung photos of Swami Vivekananda and his message.

Our party will keep our ideologies and our sanskars (values) – if 80% of the houses in Tripura hang pictures of Swami Vivekananda, then this government will remain for another 30 to 35 years, ”Deb said on Wednesday.

“Swami Vivekananda said talk less, keep silence and focus on work. Our energy is wasted if we talk a lot. So, we shouldn’t waste our energy,” said Biplab Deb.

He called on mahila morcha activists to showcase Indian culture, Sanskriti among the people.

Earlier in August, Mr. Deb distributed books on Swami Vivekananda to COVID-19 patients to keep them mentally strong and motivated.

Later, speaking about the various development activities of the BJP-IPFT government, the chief minister said that his government had increased the amount of various social pensions, the salaries of government employees, the monthly allowances of the village pradhan panchayat and their deputies, introduced an electronic public distribution system. , Ayushman Tripura Health Plan, increased fund allocation for assistance to MLA Fund.

He also said: “There is a difference between taking initiative and implementing it. Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi took the initiative to introduce a three-tier panchayat system, but the results started under the regime of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayees. And after Narendra Modi ji came to power, he decided to give a fund of Rs 80 lakh directly to the panchayats of the village to strengthen them. “
