Another Quarantine Birthday 🎂 After planning a detailed, intensive, and theme-rich birthday party for the hostess, I was lazy enough to get up and have another in ten days! But there’s nothing like Pinterest and good ol ‘mom guilt to get you back on your feet and start all over again. Buddy boy is obsessed with everything that happens: trucks, motorcycles, tractors, cars, fire engines and his favorite the JCB Digger. You can surprise him in the hot summer afternoon playing with his trucks in the mud totally and completely in a state of bliss. So this theme combined his love for vehicles and construction (also because it was just easier to expand the themed basket a bit and I was in love with the tractor shaped napkins😜) I used all the creativity I had left to decorate the place and inflated a pool for entertainment. All parents know that nothing holds children back longer than a swimming pool with fries. A trunk full of cars, my decor box, and the cutest printables brought the whole theme together. I managed to put the backdrop in line with the pun panels. Duct tape and backhoe toothpicks brought the whole theme together. I forgot to click on a returns image that was my favorite packaging; newspaper with duct tape wrapped all around. We reused the pom poms from the last time and kept the theme colors to match the decor. I have found choosing a solid color plate with a themed napkin to be a smarter solution. If you have extra leftovers, you can use it for another celebration, dressed in a different napkin. By the time the sun went down the kids were hungry and thankfully exhausted, so it was a quick run around the table before the Khoi bag burst and the confetti-laden kids were gone! Quarantine Birthday 🎂 My children’s birthdays are ten days apart and I had this dream idea when my son was born, that I would combine their parties as long as the Khoi bags were interesting, and save myself from the stress and planning that go to kid’s evenings.
