The father of an army soldier was reportedly killed by neighbors during a scuffle over damage to the walls of neighboring houses, police said on Tuesday.
Police said the incident took place in Shukulpur village, under Sangrampur Police Station, Amethi District, on Tuesday evening.
“Surya Prakash Mishra, son of Rajendra Mishra, said his father was killed by neighbors following a fight over damage to the walls of neighboring houses. He was injured when neighbors attacked him but died when he was taken to the community health center (CHC). Amethi SP Khyati Garg said speaking to reporters.
“We are investigating the matter and will take strong action,” she added.
Dr Alok Tripathi from CHC said: “Rajendra Prasad Mishra was seriously injured in the fight. He died on his way to the hospital. When he got here, he was dead.”

“Our neighbors Ashok Kumar, Vagish Kumar, Chandrabhan, Gaurav and Satyam broke into our house and beat my father violently, because of which he died,” he said.
“We informed the police earlier when we had an argument about the damage to the wall of neighboring houses, but no action was taken by the police. Today, suddenly, these people broke into our house when no one was in the house and killed my father. . I serve the country myself, I am a young man from the country and if I cannot save my father, what am I going to do for the country. Today, I am very ashamed that I cannot save my family, which protects the whole country. We ask the administration to take immediate action to arrest the 6 people immediately. ” he added.
