Hathras (Uttar Pradesh):
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) interviewed family members of the victim of the Hathras incident on Saturday for nearly five hours.
The CBI is investigating the torture and alleged gang rape of a 20-year-old Dalit woman who died in a Delhi hospital last month.
The victim’s sister-in-law said the team asked her questions relating to the case.
“They didn’t ask me a lot of questions. They asked me about Chotu, but I don’t know him. They took the victim’s clothes with them. They conducted interrogations for hours. We weren’t under any pressure, ”she said.
The family of the victim of the Hathras incident want the case to be transferred to Delhi. They also want to move to the nation’s capital.
The victim’s brother told ANI on Friday that the family wanted to be safe wherever they were.
CBI has set up a camp office in Hathras on premises owned by the Department of Agriculture.
As part of the investigation, the CBI team collected samples on Tuesday at the location where the alleged gang rape victim was cremated on September 30.
