A 5.2 magnitude earthquake was reported Friday near Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands, according to the Indian National Seismology Center.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 559 km north (N) of Saipan, in the Northern Mariana Islands, the agency said. The earthquake struck at 7 h 50 min 05 s IST at a depth of 10 km from the surface.
