20 soldiers were killed in the line of duty during a violent confrontation with China last month.

Ladakh / New Delhi:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Leh this morning to take stock of the situation after the June 15 clash in Ladakh, where 20 soldiers were killed in the line of duty during a confrontation with Chinese troops .

India has given China an appropriate response on Ladakh, Prime Minister Modi said last week in his monthly radio address – Mann ki Baat.

“Those who have looked at Indian territory in Ladakh have received a suitable response. If India knows how to maintain friendship, it can also confront someone and give an adequate response. Our brave soldiers have made it clear that they would not allow anyone to corrupt Mother India’s honor, “said Prime Minister Modi on Sunday.

The military estimates that the Chinese killed 45 people in the late evening skirmish on June 15.
