A 4.8 magnitude earthquake was reported on Wednesday near Belonia in Tripura, according to the Indian National Seismology Center.
The epicenter of the earthquake was 43 km south (S) of Belonia, Tripura, India, the agency said. The earthquake struck at 6:02 a.m. IST at a depth of 279 km from the surface.
