Twitter called two of Donald Trump’s tweets “unfounded.”

US President Donald Trump threatened to shut down social media platforms on Wednesday after Twitter called two of his tweets “unfounded” and accusing him of making false statements.
“The Republicans believe that social media platforms are completely silencing the voices of the Tories. We will tightly regulate or shut them down before we can allow this to happen,” Trump tweeted.
Twitter targeted two tweets released Tuesday by the president, in which he claimed without proof that the postal vote would result in fraud and a “rigged election”.
Under the tweets, Twitter posted a link that said “Get the facts on the postal ballots” – a first for the social network that has long resisted calls to censor the President on messages that defy the truth.
Trump pushed back on Wednesday saying, “We cannot let large-scale postal ballots take root in our country. It would be free to all on cheating, counterfeiting and theft of ballots.
“Whoever cheated the most would win. Likewise, social media. Clean up your number NOW !!!!”
The president also accused social media platforms of interfering in the last election, saying “we saw what they tried to do and failed in 2016”.
“We can’t let a more sophisticated version happen again.”
The president has long used Twitter as a platform to spread abuse, conspiracy theories, false information and insults to his 80 million followers.
Before being elected in 2016, he built his political mark by supporting the “birther” lie that Barack Obama, the first black president of the United States, was not born in the United States and is therefore not eligible for the presidency.
And he recently unleashed another storm with an attempt to assassinate the character of MSNBC television host Joe Scarborough by spreading the baseless rumor that he murdered an assistant.
