The legend of Deepika Padukone on his latest Instagram publication puts everything in perspective. Sunday, like his film Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani in 7 years, the actress shared photos of her with the first look test of her co-star Ranbir Kapoor for the film directed by Ayan Mukerji. Citing the dialogue of her character Naina Talvar in the film, Deepika captioned her post: “Our very first look test …Yaadein mithai ke dibbe ki tarah hoti hain … Ek baar khula, toh sirf ek tukda nahi kha paoge“In one of the photos, Deepika and Ranbir can be seen wearing traditional outfits, while in the other, they can be seen casually.

Meanwhile, Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, who supported the 2013 film, shared a video on his official Instagram handle and the caption on it said: “A film that inspired a generation to keep flying , to run and even to fall but without stopping! # 7YearsOfYJHD! “
The film featured the love story of Naina Talwar (Deepika) and Bunny (Ranbir), who met on a trek, and ended up discovering their true dreams during the process. Distanced by time, they meet at the wedding of Aditi (Kalki) only to realize what they really feel towards each other. The film also redefined friendship goals.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, easily found a place among the 2013 blockbuster movies. Besides Ranbir and Deepika, the film also starred with Aditya Roy Kapur, Kalki Koechlin, Kunaal Roy Kapur, Tanvi Azmi and the late actor Farooq Sheikh.
After Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Deepika and Ranbir shared screen space in Imtiaz Ali’s film in 2015 Tamasha. Deepika married her “Padmaavat“co-star Ranveer Singh in 2018, when Ranbir Kapoor is dating Brahmastra co-star Alia Bhatt.
