On Friday (local time), US President Donald Trump warned the lawsuits were “just beginning”, and also said his Democratic rival Joe Biden should not “falsely claim” the post of president.
“Joe Biden shouldn’t falsely claim the post of president. I could also make this claim. The lawsuits are just beginning!” Trump said in a tweet.
In another tweet, the president claimed he had a big lead in some states, which had “miraculously” disappeared.
“I had such a big lead in all of these states late on election night, only to see the leads miraculously disappear as the days go by. Maybe those leads will come back as our legal proceedings progress!” Trump tweeted.
Earlier, in a statement, the President had promised to continue to continue the process of counting “illegal ballots” through all aspects of the law.
“From the start we have said that all legal ballots should be counted and all illegal ballots should not be counted, but we have encountered resistance from Democrats to this basic principle at every turn. We will continue this process through all aspects of the law. to ensure that the American people have confidence in our government, ”he wrote on Twitter.
According to CNN, Biden had previously led Trump in the battlefield states of Pennsylvania and Georgia, bringing him closer to the 270 constituency votes he needs to win the US presidential election.
Biden leads Trump with 253 constituency votes to 214 votes, according to the latest updates.
