The BJP delegation meets with the Governor of Bengal and seeks a CBI investigation into the murder of the adviser.

Calcutta:

A delegation from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of Mukul Roy, Jayprakash Majumdar and Sabyasachi Dutta, submitted a memorandum to West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar on Sunday, demanding a CBI investigation into the murder of party adviser Manish Shukla.

Mr. Shukla was shot dead outside the Titagarh police station in the North 24 Parganas district on October 4.

“BJP delegation led by National Vice President Mukul Roy @MukulR_Official called for a CBI investigation into the politically targeted assassination of Manish Shukla,” the governor of West Bengal later tweeted.

BJP leaders alleged that the state’s criminal investigation department was trying to falsely implicate its opponents in the party itself, making it a case of a factional feud.

“The delegation alleged that CID @MamataOfficial misdirected the investigation to falsely implicate political opponents in (the) BJP,” Governor Dhankhar further tweeted.
