Tejasvi Surya said permission was expected to be denied for gatherings.

Calcutta:

Newly appointed BJYM chairman Tejasvi Surya claimed on Wednesday that Mamata Banerjee’s government shut down Nabanna out of fear before the organization’s march to the secretary of state on Thursday.

He said permission was expected to be denied for the rallies, while saying the protest program will be a success and in which at least 50,000 people will participate.

The West Bengal government cited the pandemic as refusing permission to hold a large rally during the “March to Nabanna” scheduled for Thursday by the youth wing of the BJP and said peaceful and democratic rallies within “permitted parameters” of only 100 people would be allowed.

The government also announced that Nabanna would be closed for two days from October 8 “for disinfection purposes”.

Addressing a press conference around 11pm at the BJP office, Mr Surya said: “Mamata didi was scared. I heard that she closed the CMO. This is a sign of a genuine “paribartan” (change) in Bengal. and this is led by the patriotic youth of the state and the rest of the country is with them. “

He said the state government was using the COVID-19 situation to deny permission for the BJYM march, but Trinamool’s congressional supremacy itself led a rally against farm bills a few years ago. days.

“Is there one set of rules for the TMC and another for the other parties?” He asked.

“Mamata ji is a living example of what a fascist government looks like,” said Mfr Surya, adding that he came to participate in the first protest rally after being appointed national president of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).

When shutting down Nabanna for two days, he claimed the Secretary of State had been closed in all practical terms since Mamata Banerjee took office as chief minister.

The decision to shut down Nabanna on working days drew condemnation from BJP management, who called the decision “a reflection of TMC’s fear” but maintained they were moving forward with the program.

Alleging that the most corrupt government is currently in power in West Bengal, he said: “Because of this government of unions and money cuts, unemployment is increasing in the state”.

Alleging that those who speak out against the TMC government are eliminated, he asserted: “In the past two years at least 200 members of the BJP youth wing have been killed by TMC morons.”

Claiming that all the young nationalist men and women in the country are with the youth of Bengal, he said they will together bring down the TMC government in the state and restore Bengal’s lost glory.
