Maharashtra’s COVID-19 toll rose to 2.06.619 today with a day’s peak of 6,555 new cases, the state health department said.
With the deaths of 151 additional patients, the number of deaths in the state rose to 8,822, according to the report.
A total of 3,658 patients have been released from hospitals after their recovery, bringing the number of people recovered to 1,111,740 so far, the department said in a statement.
There are currently 86,057 active cases in the state.
So far, 11 12,442 people have been tested across the state, according to the report.
