4.4 Magnitude earthquake near the Rajkot of Gujarat, 2nd in less than 24 hours
A 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck near Rajkot in Gujarat this afternoon. It was the second earthquake to hit the city in less than 24 hours.
The earthquake epicenter – reported around 12:57 p.m. – was about 82 km northwest of Rajkot, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
Last night, the city experienced a 5.5 magnitude earthquake around 8:13 p.m., said NCS, the government’s nodal agency to monitor earthquake activity in the country.
