New Delhi:
The selection jury of the Jammu and Kashmir services (JKSSB) clarified that young people from international border areas (IB) in the territory of the Union are eligible to benefit from the booking advantages applicable to them in jobs public.
Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, had a discussion on Wednesday with J&K Governor Lt GC Murmu and BVR chief secretary Subrahmanyam on the matter and asked them to clarify the ambiguity in the minds of some aspirants of BI regions on booking applicability.
He was informed that a clarification of the administration of the territory of the Union of Jammu and Kashmir would be published soon.
“Following yesterday’s discussion with LG Sh Murmu and chief secretary Sh Subrahmanyam, the UT government of #JammuAndKashmir today issued the following corrigendum. This should end all apprehension of candidate candidates to jobs subject to the #IB reservation, “The Minister tweeted Thursday, attaching a copy of the corrective notice.
According to the corrigendum, young people from IB areas can benefit from the reservation reserved for them.
People living in areas bordering the international border and the actual line of control have the right to reserve government jobs.
Singh, a member of Lok Sabha from the Udhampur constituency of Jammu and Kashmir, said existing rules allow a 3% reservation for people living in the areas along the IB and the line actual control.
Last month, the Jammu and Kashmir service selection board announced that 8,575 vacancies for Class IV jobs had been advertised. In April, he asked for candidates to fill 1,889 accounting assistant positions (panchayat).
