Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said Friday he witnessed the Indian army’s gunfire and fury during the parachuting exercise and other military demonstrations at Stakna Monastery near Leh. He is on a two-day visit to Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir.
He also inspected a Pika machine gun and said he was proud of the brave and courageous soldiers.
“I witnessed the shooting and the fury of the Indian army during parachuting and other military demonstrations in Stakna near Leh today. I also had the opportunity to interact with them. I am proud of these brave and courageous soldiers, “said Singh.
Indian Army T-90 tanks and BMP infantry fighting vehicles conducted the exercise in Stakna, Leh in the presence of Singh, General Bipin Rawat, Chief of the Defense Staff, and army chief Manoj Mukund Naravane.
The Minister of Defense will take stock of the situation both at the effective control line (LAC) and at the control line (LOC).
