Joe Biden’s victory in one of America’s most polarized elections came after American media showed him he won Pennsylvania and more than the 270 constituency votes needed to run for president.
In the photo of Naomi, Joe Biden smiles for the camera as his family hugs him.
Naomi is the 27-year-old daughter of Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, and his first wife, Kathleen.
It is named after Hunter Biden’s sister, Naomi Christina, who was killed in a car crash with her mother in 1971.
According to U.S. media reports, Naomi is Biden’s only grandchild with a public Instagram account.
Her Twitter biography describes her as “sister, daughter, granddaughter …”
Biden, 77, will be the longest-serving president-elect in U.S. history and the first to oust a sitting commander-in-chief after a term since Bill Clinton defeated George H.W. Bush in 1992.
Biden’s vice president, California senator Kamala Harris, is the first black and Native American woman to serve as vice president.
