Kamal Nath has been criticized for his controversial remarks.

Bhopal:

A day after the electoral commission said Congressional Kamal Nath was no longer his party’s star activist in Madhya Pradesh – where bypasses are due next week – the former chief minister questioned the decision from the polling station. Mr Nath’s campaign star status has been revoked for “repeated violation of the model code of conduct” and “total disregard” of warnings to him, the polling station said on Friday.

“What position or position does this star activist hold? The Election Commission didn’t give me any notice or ask me about it. Why are they doing this in the last two days of campaigning that they know?” The old leader, who has been widely criticized for calling BJP “element” Imarti Devi, told PTI news agency.

The veteran leader, while campaigning in Dabra, mocked Imarti Devi by saying that the congressional candidate was a “simple person” unlike his rival, who was an “object”.

Defending his choice of words, Lok Sabha MP nine times said today: “I was in Lok Sabha for so many years. There he is mentioned in the agenda sheet item number 1 , point number 2 … It was on my I didn’t say it to disrespect anyone. Yet I had said that if someone feels insulted, then I express regret. “

The Madhya Pradesh congressional unit said on Friday it would challenge the electoral body’s decision in court.

Congress will return to power in Madhya Pradesh next month, said Mr Nath, whose 15-month government collapsed earlier this year after Jyotidatiya Scindia passed from Congress to BJP with 22 MPs.

“The voters of the deputies are simple, naive and poor, but they are also intelligent. Have full confidence in the people and voters of the state, especially from these 28 seats. They are aware that the government (BJP), which came to power through the people’s mandate trade, has not been able to change anything in the past seven months. “

By-elections are being held on November 3 to fill 28 vacant seats in the Madhya Pradesh assembly. Most of them fell vacant when Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia revolted earlier this year and defected from the BJP, taking 22 MPs.
