West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar met with Interior Minister Amit Shah on Monday and discussed the “worrying situation” in the state.
During the meeting, the governor briefed the Minister of the Interior on the current state of public order, politics and COVID-19 in West Bengal, officials said.
Before the meeting, Dhankhar had tweeted: “Is said to be discussing with the Union Minister of the Interior at noon today a worrying situation in West Bengal.”
“Also the state of affairs and state affairs @MamataOfficial. The welfare of the people of West Bengal is always the most important in my mind. All my actions are inspired to alleviate the misfortunes of the people of the WB” , he tweeted.
The governor also said that he would discuss with the Minister of the Interior his constitutional obligations under section 159, which includes preserving, protecting and defending the Constitution, and that he would “devote himself to the service and the well-being of the people. “
“I MAKE A TOTAL COMMITMENT TO WB PEOPLE,” said Dhankar in another tweet.
The governor said on Sunday that there was no room for complacency from the state government when dealing with the increase in positive COVID-19 cases and deaths in Bengal western.
