Yogi Adityanath has ordered private hospitals to use Truenat machines for coronavirus screening.

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday ordered state health and medical education departments to prepare a special work plan for the districts of Gautam Buddh Nagar and Ghaziabad given the number growing case of coronavirus.

In a meeting with senior officials, the chief minister highlighted further efforts to further improve medical facilities in the two districts to control the spread of the infection, a statement said.

The chief minister has ordered a special team from the health department to be sent to Ghaziabad to camp there and provide better accommodation in COVID-19 hospitals and the treatment of infected people, the press release said, adding that he also said that a similar team would be dispatched. at Bulandshahr.

Yogi Adityanath also ordered private hospitals to use Truenat machines to screen for coronaviruses. They are currently used in public hospitals.

He previously requested permission to use Truenat machines in private hospitals, and permission was given by the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR).

The use of Truenat machines in private hospitals will help provide prompt treatment to emergency patients as it would save time waiting for COVID-19 test reports before starting treatment, the statement said.

Directing officials to increase the testing capacity, which has already passed the 25,000 test per day mark, the CM said the goal would be to reach the 30,000 mark in the next phase.

Directing officials to improve facilities in state medical schools, the chief minister said that primary physicians should make regular visits and that an official should be appointed separately to oversee health services in the faculties. of Medicine.

He also asked special officials at the secretariat level, sent to the districts as nodal officers, to undertake regular monitoring of all COVID-19 hospitals.

He said family members of patients admitted to COVID-19 hospitals should receive regular health information over the phone.

With respect to international flights to the state, the Chief Minister has ordered that all arriving persons be properly screened and quarantined. Likewise, those arriving by train and bus should also be checked.

The chief minister also said he would personally visit certain districts and also review the programs that should be launched against communicable diseases later this month.
