Kolkata:

In an apparent search during previous congressional governments, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said Friday that the “pro-Chinese elements” who had returned Aksai Chin in the Ladakh region to China were questioning the BJP government , while claiming that no one could intimidate the country while Prime Minister Narendra Modi directs it.

Speaking at a “virtual rally” for the residents of West Bengal, the Union Minister for Oil and Natural Gas said that “pro-Chinese elements in India, who do not trust the armed forces and the country’s foreign minister take advice from the Chinese ambassador. “

“We have forgotten those who shouted pro-Chinese slogans during the war in the 1960s (1962). These pro-Chinese elements are still there in the country, who do not trust the Indian armed forces and the minister Foreign Affairs. They are taking advice from the Chinese ambassador, “he said.

“Those whose ancestors donated to China from the Aksai Chin area by saying it was barren land, are now questioning Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Our Prime Minister has given full freedom to the armed forces. No one can intimidate India. Times have changed. As long as we have Prime Minister Modi, we are safe. A recent survey has shown that over 73% of people in the country trust the Prime Minister in matters of national security, “said Pradhan.

His comments come a day after Bharatiya Janata (BJP) leader JP Nadda alleged that the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation (RGF) accepted USD 300,000 from China and the Chinese Embassy in 2005-06 for carrying out studies that were not in the national interest.

Congress, however, rejected the allegation as an attempt to divert the country’s attention from national security issues.

Speaking on the current political situation in West Bengal, Pradhan said the people of the state would give an appropriate response to Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for “having pursued the policy of vendetta” and sending it in ” long quarantine after the elections of 2021 “. .

“My party colleagues have told me that our public officials are not allowed out of their homes in Bengal and have been kept in quarantine. I want to tell the TMC and Mamatadi that the people of the state would give a decent answer to their policy of vendetta and violence and send Mamatadi into quarantine after the 2021 Assembly elections, “he said.

Calling the government of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) a state of utter failure, the BJP chief said that the people of Bengal should give the Saffron party a chance to take the state to new heights.

“A change is necessary to move Bengal forward. The change will take place in the state in 2021,” he said.

Pradhan, a senior BJP leader from the nearby town of Odisha, alleged that TMC workers had unleashed a reign of terror in the state among workers of the Saffron party for engaging in any kind of movement. democratic opposition.

He attacked the government of West Bengal for failing to join several central regimes for the poor.

Regarding Bengal’s “reluctance” to repatriate migrant workers, Mr. Pradhan said it was the only state that was not willing to take over its workers.

“Migrant workers will never forgive Mamatadi for the treatment you have inflicted on them,” he said.

The issue of the return of migrant workers to Bengal has snowballed in recent weeks with the BJP and the Center, alleging that the state government is not keen to take them back. TMC’s exemption in the state dismissed the claim.
