Britain has recorded more than a million cases of the coronavirus during the global pandemic, with nearly 22,000 new infections reported in the past 24 hours, official figures showed on Saturday.
A total of 1,011,660 cases of Covid-19 have now been recorded, while the number of deaths increased by 326 to 46,555 deaths within 28 days of a positive test result, the highest tally from Europe.
