Two terrorists were killed during a meeting with security forces in Jammu and the Kulgam district of Kashmir today, police said.
A cordon and search operation was launched following reports of the presence of terrorists in the Wanpora region of southern Kashmir, a police official told the Press Trust of India news agency.
The terrorists fired on the security forces, which retaliated. Two terrorists were killed in the shootout, the official said.
The identity and membership of a group of the two terrorists is under investigation, he added.
