U.S. Elections 2020: Trump’s tweet said votes received after election day in the United States would not be counted

London:

Twitter Inc on Thursday reported a message from President Donald Trump that votes received after election day in the United States would not be counted.

The company has applied labels to several tweets sent by Trump in recent days, warning users that the information is disputed and could be misleading, as he fights Democratic rival Joe Biden to keep his place in the White House.

Trump’s last tweet to receive the tag on Thursday said, “ANY VOTE THAT ARRIVES AFTER ELECTION DAY WILL NOT BE COUNTED!”

It is normal in American elections for states to count the votes for days, if not weeks, after voting ends on Election Day.
