President Donald Trump says the decision to wear a mask to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus, currently infecting a record number of people in many places in the United States, is personal, the Home Press Secretary said on Monday Blanche, Kayleigh McEnany.
“It is his choice to wear a mask. It is the personal choice of any individual to wear a mask or not,” said McEnany, when asked about a new mandate to wear masks in Jacksonville, Florida, where part of the Republican nomination will take place.
“He encourages people to make the best decision for their safety. But he told me that he had no problem with the masks and to make all the requests in your local jurisdiction.”
